New law designed to help small business get through bureaucratic red tape

By WTAQ,

A new law signed by Governor Walker will help cut through the bureaucratic red tape for small business owners.  It helps small business comply with rules a state agency has written and reduces fines for minor violations.  The bill also changes the make-up of the Small Business Regulatory Review Board. "This puts seven small business representatives and two lawmakers and gives them the authority to work with state agencies to make sure regulations that are proposed in the future don't add excessive costs or burden to small business."  Walker said in a media avail afterwards.  "This a great signal, because it says we'd rather help ya, than hurt ya."  Scholz said.  Brandon Scholz represents the Wisconsin Grocers Association and says there are a lot of regulatory hurdles to running and starting a small business.  "He's doing things he needs to do to get government out of my way, and those services that government can offer, is making it easier to get to them."  said Jim Oberholtzer President of  an IT architecture and IT management firm based in Milwaukee.
